My Handpan maker partners
The Handpan, an acoustic instrument invented in 2000 in Switzerland by PANArt, is now crafted by many artisans around the world. Here are some of the maker partners I regularly work with, who lend instruments during my lessons and workshops:
- Piris Instruments — French maker, friend and long-time partner.
- Saraz Handpans — American maker known for the quality of their stainless steel instruments.
- Ayasa Handpans — French maker based in Auvergne, smooth and harmonic instruments.
- Handpan.world — international directory of makers and Handpan events.
If you’d like to start learning Handpan, I guide you in choosing your first instrument: musical scale, tonality (minor, major, melodic, exotic), number of notes (typically 8 to 10), materials (nitrided steel, stainless, ezir) and budget.
